Originally designed by ADRIANO DESIGN X VANNI. A revolutionary take on the spectacles arm has been introduced into the innovative glasses collection. Doubled and shifted as it has been, it duplicates the joint points on the front section and breaks up the alignment of the rotation pins, thus making the hinge reliable and functional. The frame front section shape is devised in order to re-draw the eye form and to rebuild the glance expressiveness, just as a mask does.

Why should we always remain the same person, while it would be only enough to wear the right glasses to turn into anyone we would like to? And what are glasses if not our time’s mask? We’ve been wearing glasses for years, this is why we now feel like test- ing ourselves on a glasses-themed project. The joint work with VANNI has given us the chance to.

The research has been carried out on a twofold scheme: on the one hand considering the relationship of glasses with face and on the other considering their technological contents and their kinematics. Hence the idea of shifting the hinge, of making a 3D version of what we have been accustomed to think of as a line, trying to build a new expression. We also intended to provide peculiar though widely affordable glasses and so we decided to use cheap materials (steel sheet), seeking both light- ness and solidity in the construction geometry.
